Connect in Mechanicsville
Mechanicsville is the neighborhood we, after two years of prayer and discernment, decided to move towards as a specific focus area in seeking the peace of our city. These are not "one time" activities, but opportunities for a long term relational presence where we can both evangelize and meet economic needs.
Eleven ways you might begin building relationships in Mechanicsville:
- Thursday AM prayer time at 8:30 AM in the chapel at 4MS. We focus on Mechanicsville.
- Mentoring children of prisoners through Amachi.
- Volunteer with Just Lead after school program at Clinton Chapel.

- Become a regular volunteer at Beardsley Farm.
- Teach music lessons at Joy of Music.
- Be a mentor at the Wesley House.
- Youth: follow up this Christmas with the families you served last summer through Operation Backyard.

- Participate in Operation Share, a coat give-away. The goal is to provide coats for working poor in neighborhood.
